CHOICES IN THE VINEYARD:
FOR EACH TERROIR ITS OWN WINE.
The area of controlled denomination of origin for Lugana and San Martino della Battaglia wines is on the southern shore of Lake Garda between Desenzano and Peschiera,
straddling two regions of Italy, Lombardy and Veneto.
The area is one of clay soils in plains and gently sloping hills of glacial origin where the unique Turbiana grape ripens to perfection. In the heart of the controlled denomination area, among the rolling hills, you will find the Citari vineyards, characterized by different soils, altitudes and exposures to the sun, providing the special features of the company’s output: three different Lugana wines, the rare San Martino della Battaglia, one of the most exclusive DOC wines in Italy, made from exclusively Tuchì grapes, and Riviera del Garda Classico, available in red and light red varieties.
IN THE WINERY, CHOOSING AUTHENTICITY
AS OUR DISTINGUISHING FEATURE.
We want each of our wines to express the authenticity and elegance of the area.
Each one is unique and produced by a perfect understanding of the terroir, the choice of precisely the right time for harvesting (which varies from wine to wine) and complete respect for the raw materials.
