Citari Places. Our wines are an expression of the tradition, characteristics and beauty of the area that surrounds us. Every day we are inspired by it to fill our bottles with the colours, scents, history and emotions among which we have the privilege of living and working. We will tell you about some places to visit at least once before or after visiting us in tour winery.
Relax on Garda Lake

Citari stands on moraine hills close to Garda Lake, benefiting from it in terms of climate, landscape, richness of the soil and emotional well-being, thanks to its beauty and the opportunities for experiences it offers.
The lake can be experienced in many ways: by boat, on a walk, from the top of the mountains, swimming, as a connection between its different municipalities. We especially like to look at it and breathe it, letting its colors fill our eyes, the air fill our lungs and calm our hearts.
Tip: a towel, a good book or good company, the desire to slow down and a bottle of Riviera del Garda Classico Doc Chiaretto 18 e Quarantacinque.
Sirmione

Citari is not far from delightful towns rich in history and charm, including Sirmione, which stands on a small peninsula on Garda Lake from which, its fourteenth-century castle, is immediately visible.
Sirmione Castle seems to emerge from the water, offering shelter to the ancient Scala fleet. Today it has a single entrance to the village from a bridge that was once a drawbridge. Getting lost in the atmosphere of Sirmione is an opportunity not to be missed. Fall in love with the delightful stone streets, the lush gardens, the Roman and medieval remains, let yourself be enchanted by the characteristic shops and the breathtaking views of the lake.
Tip: a camera, a small guide, comfortable shoes, a good dose of curiosity, time for a stop on the lake and a bottle of Lugana Doc Sorgente, fresh and drinkable to accompany your time lightly with the aromas and flavors of the land of Lugana.
Caves of Catullus

At the end of the tour in Sirmione, on the same peninsula, if you still want to walk, you can visit an important archaeological area. The Caves of Catullus, stand at the tip of the strip of land that extends into Lake Garda, are an extraordinary Roman past testimony. They are what remains of an imposing domus from the Augustan era and are immersed in an olive grove made up of over 1.500 plants, many of which are around 500 years old.
Tip: approach the caves calmly, walking along the large avenue that runs alongside the thermal area and then entering among the olive trees, cooling off in the shade of the plants, while enjoying a glass of Lugana Doc Sorgente admiring the blue of Lake Garda that stands out behind the branches.
Borghetto sul Mincio

Borghetto sul Mincio is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, as recognized by the Club of the same name.
Entirely built on the banks of the Mincio and surrounded by splendid morainic hills, it is a magical place for its charm, history, landscapes and monuments. The small village seems to live in symbiosis with the river, surrounded by ancient medieval fortifications, with historical elements found among its enchanting alleys. It boasts an exceptional relationship of harmony between history and nature which makes it a unique destination to visit at least once in a lifetime, traveling in the Lake Garda area.
Tip: take a walk on the “Ponte Lungo”, let yourself be enchanted by the mills and the rapids of the river, choose a table overlooking the village for a coffee, a glass of wine or a meal to enjoy in relaxation. But above all, choose this place to share time with the person you love, you can breathe romance around every corner. We have chosen our Lugana Doc Conchiglia for a toast.
